WESTERCON-L is the mailing list for people interested in Westercon 54, the Western Regional Science Fiction Convention for 2001 (July 5-8, 2001 in Portland, Oregon). See http://www.osfci.org/w2001/ for more information on Westercon 54.

Who Can Subscribe to WESTERCON-L?

WESTERCON-L is open to all Westercon members (attendees), potential members, members of other Westercons, and anyone else interested in discussing the convention.

What Topics are Appropriate for WESTERCON-L?

This list is intended for discussion of Westercon, science fiction conventions in general, and other Westercon-related issues. General fannish chat is acceptable as long as the volume of the list does not become too great and the topic of discussion is of interest to the members of the list. Please do not repost humorous (or other) messages from Usenet or other lists unless they are directly relevant to Westercon. Posting of very large files (binaries) is not allowed.

Commercial solicitations and any other mass mailings of any kind (AKA "spam") will absolutely not be tolerated. Don't do it. We mean it. And don't try to weasel out of it by saying "but I thought it was relevant to the list"... we all know what spam is when we see it, and we will take appropriate action. Losing your subscription to WESTERCON-L is just the beginning. We have friends all over the world, many of whom own powerful computers and/or impressive weapons and are not afraid to use them.
